Facials & Skincare Services
Daily stressors and environmental exposure can do damage to your skin, even if we are careful about our exposure. Facials can be tremendously beneficial to detoxify the skin, tighten loose areas, and reduce blemishes. Regular facials and skincare treatments will leave you looking younger and rejuvenated.

Facial FAQs
How do I prepare for a facial?
There isn't too much you need to do to prepare, but there are a few things to note:
-
Skip any strong at-home facial treatments the week before your appointment. You should even avoid gentle exfoliation for a few days before, since exfoliation is one of the key steps in a pro facial.
-
Avoid sun exposure near your appointment (or ever) because it may require your esthetician to perform a gentle facial to help with the sun damage instead of targeting any deeper concerns you have with your skin.
-
Bring in a list of your home skincare products so your esthetician has the information she needs.
-
Bring a list of your medications, medical conditions and past skin conditions so your esthetician can choose products that won't interact. Even over-the-counter medications can significantly affect your skin.
-
Check your calendar– do you have a big event coming up? Let us know ahead of time if your facial is the same day of your event. There are certain treatments and techniques we will avoid and we can provide recommendations for the best time to schedule your facial for maximum results.
-
Don't wax your skin for 24-48 hours before your facial. Waxing too soon beforehand could lead to irritation and a stinging sensation. (Did you know we offer a full line of waxing services, too? )
-
Be prepared to discuss your top skin concerns and your goals for your skin.
-
Lastly, relax! A professional facial is meant to be relaxing, especially when combined with a massage from one of our amazing massage therapists, so don't stress about how to prepare for a facial.
What should I tell my esthetician before my facial begins?
Information that helps our aestheticians determine the right type of facial for you:
-
Your diet (including recent changes)
-
Current medications (especially if you've started a new one recently)
-
Allergies
-
Medical conditions
-
Lifestyle choices
-
Recent plastic surgeries or procedures
-
Activity level
-
At-home skin care routine
-
Stress level
-
Past skin reactions
-
What you want to get out of this pro facial
What to do after a facial?
Regardless of what type of facial you received, your aesthetician will recommend an at-home care agenda for you to follow. These directions are based on your skin concerns, your skin type, and any special instructions needed with the specific type of facial you've received.
What should I avoid after a facial?
-
You should avoid hitting the gym for about 24 hours after your facial so you don’t over stimulate the skin due to sweating and increased circulation.
-
You'll also want to give your skin a break from exfoliation for 48 hours. This is because your skin experiences a professional level of exfoliation during your spa facial and you don't want to over exfoliate. When you do exfoliate or even cleanse the skin next, make sure to not scrub too hard.
-
Always be gentle to your skin, especially after a facial.
-
You can wear makeup after a facial, but your skin will be more sensitive so stick to makeup that isn't perfumed and doesn't have ingredients that would clog pores or lead to breakouts.
